10 Things I’m Learning in My 30s—And Living By

There’s a quiet shift that happens in your 30s.
It’s not loud or dramatic—it’s subtle, internal, and deeply clarifying.
You stop chasing everything.
You start choosing.
Living in Los Angeles, raising my daughter, building businesses, and moving my body almost every day—I’ve come to understand that discipline isn’t restriction, it’s freedom. Confidence isn’t something you announce, it’s something you live.
I’m still in it. Still refining, still evolving, still learning in real time.
These are the things shaping how I move through life now.
1. Schedule time for yourself—and honor it.
If it’s not scheduled, it doesn’t exist.
I’m learning that time for yourself isn’t indulgent—it’s foundational. For a long time, everything else came first. Work, motherhood, responsibilities.
Now, I treat time with myself like a non-negotiable meeting. Whether it’s a workout, going on trips with friends, or simply a quiet moment to reset, it’s part of how I stay grounded.
Because when I show up for myself first, everything else benefits.
2. Protect your energy like it shapes your life (because it does).
Energy is everything.
Not just physical energy, but emotional and mental. The conversations you entertain, the environments you stay in, the people you keep close—they all leave an imprint.
I’m becoming more selective—not out of distance, but out of clarity.
Peace has a higher return than chaos ever did.
3. Longevity is a 360° practice.
I’m learning that how you feel matters just as much as how you look.
Yes, I work out five days a week. But longevity goes beyond movement. It’s sleep, nourishment, stress, recovery, and rhythm.
It’s the small, consistent choices that build a life that actually feels good to live.
4. Positivity is powerful—choose it with intention.
Positivity isn’t pretending everything is perfect.
It’s choosing your perspective, especially when things aren’t. I’m learning that where my attention goes, my life follows.
You don’t control everything—but you do control how you meet it.
And that changes everything.
5. Be yourself. Fully, quietly, confidently.
There’s a shift that happens when you stop adjusting yourself to fit expectations.
Not loudly. Not for validation. Just… fully.
I’m learning that confidence now feels quieter. More grounded. Less about being seen, more about being settled.
You don’t need to prove it.
You just live it.
6. Allow yourself to receive.
This is something I’m still learning.
To receive support. Opportunities. Compliments. Love.
There’s strength in independence—but there’s also growth in allowing things to come to you. Not everything has to be forced.
Sometimes, you just have to be open enough to accept what’s already making its way toward you.
7. Embrace 93% done.
Perfection is expensive.
It costs time, energy, and momentum. I’m learning that getting something to 93% and moving forward is often more powerful than waiting for 100%.
Progress builds confidence.
Action builds clarity.
8. Stay curious. Keep learning.
The moment you think you know everything is the moment you stop growing.
I’m learning to stay a student—in business, in wellness, in life. To ask better questions. To stay open. To evolve.
Curiosity keeps you moving.
And movement keeps you alive.
9. Don’t apologize for your boundaries.
Boundaries are a form of self-respect.
I’m learning that they don’t need to be over-explained or softened to be accepted. The right people understand. The wrong ones reveal themselves.
Clarity creates better relationships—not weaker ones.
10. Leave a little mystery.
Not everything needs to be shared.
I’m learning to keep parts of my life just for me—my thoughts, my growth, my next move before it’s visible.
Mystery isn’t about hiding.
It’s about holding something sacred.
Closing
Your 30s aren’t about becoming someone new.
They’re about returning to yourself—with more awareness, more discipline, and a deeper understanding of what actually matters.
Less noise.
More intention.
And a life that feels like it’s truly yours.
