Why VYRI Exists - A Founder Story

Hi,

I’ve been sitting with this for weeks—thinking about how to begin, how to put words to something that has lived in me for a long time. Writing this now feels both grounding and surreal.

So I’ll start at the beginning.

When I was younger, I learned how loud the world can be about a girl’s body.

Beauty standards weren’t background noise—they felt like rules. Unspoken, but everywhere. I was trying to be “good” at being seen, trying to earn approval in a body that was constantly being measured. And eventually, I lost myself in that pressure. I developed anorexia.

Even now, I can admit something honestly: that mindset doesn’t just disappear. It evolves. It disguises itself as discipline, as self-improvement, as “just wanting to be better.” For a long time, I believed wellness meant controlling myself into being acceptable.

Layered on top of that, I carried another contradiction.

As a Latina, I felt the constant push and pull of conflicting expectations: be curvy, but not too curvy. Be slim, but in all the right places. Be feminine, but effortless. It was exhausting—trying to fit into a shape that kept shifting depending on who was looking.

That tension is what started my wellness journey.

I didn’t enter this industry because it was trending. I came in because I was searching—for clarity, for truth, for something that felt real. I wanted to meet my insecurities with a deeper understanding of what was actually healthy for me.

And through that, I began to understand what is truly safe—what supports the body, not just the image of it. What makes a product effective. And how those products fit into a well-lived, habit-stacked lifestyle. What actually matters when you strip away the marketing.

At first, my relationship with wellness was still tied to appearance. But over time, something shifted.

The goal became to live well.

To have energy that lasts.
To feel steady in my body.
To stay strong as life expands.
To protect my future—not punish my present.

That’s when wellness became less about vanity, and more about longevity.

Over the last decade, I built my career inside this industry in a way that changed how I live. I’ve worked alongside scientists, formulators, farmers, and manufacturers. I’ve operated across human wellness, body care, and pet wellness. I’ve spent years attending conferences, asking questions, and learning how things are actually made.

Not to collect credentials—but to build discernment.

One of the most grounding experiences in my career was helping operate a USDA organic farm that supplied a key ingredient to a consumer supplement brand I helped build, Green Gorilla.

Being at the source changes everything.

You see what can’t be rushed—soil health, inputs, harvest timing, traceability. You understand that quality isn’t something you can fake. It’s something you commit to, long before a product ever reaches a shelf.

As I moved deeper into product development, that understanding expanded.

I saw how many critical decisions happen behind the scenes—supplier selection, testing frequency, documentation, manufacturing standards. I saw what happens when timelines tighten and margins get pressured.

And I learned something that has stayed with me:

Safety isn’t added later. It’s designed from the beginning—and protected every step of the way.

I’ve taken regulated products to market, navigated complex compliance frameworks, and maintained certifications that require ongoing discipline. And through that process, one belief became non-negotiable:

Quality isn’t a claim. It’s a practice.

Over time, I realized I wasn’t just building brands.

I was building a lens.

VYRI is the natural evolution of that lens—and of the personal evolution behind it.

VYRI is a curated marketplace built on long-term thinking. It exists for people who want to feel confident in what they bring into their homes and into their bodies. People who don’t want wellness to feel overwhelming, performative, or perfection-driven.

Just supportive. Grounded. Real.

In an industry shaped by rapid trends, private-label shortcuts, and constant product cycles, quality isn’t always compromised—but it isn’t always guaranteed either.

Maintaining it requires intention: careful sourcing, consistent testing, transparent partnerships, and standards that hold—even when speed and cost compete for attention.

That’s what VYRI is built on.

Every product we offer is selected through a lens of integrity, effectiveness, and safety. These are not impulse formulations or trend-driven solutions. They are foundational products designed to support how you actually live—better sleep, calmer mornings, stronger foundations, more resilience.

I don’t curate from theory.

I curate from experience—what I’ve seen behind the label, behind the claims, behind the beautifully packaged promises.

If you’ve ever wanted wellness to feel simpler, cleaner, and more trustworthy—this space was built for you.

VYRI isn’t about having more.

It’s about choosing better.

Together.
